The Team

Our Mobile Product teams are building the flagship Chipper Cash product as well as entirely new products that the fintech ecosystem has never seen before. You'll work cross functionally with various designers, product owners & engineers to build and deliver exceptional user experiences and products for our 4+ million Chipper users.

Your Mission

You will be the founding release engineer and will work within our Mobile Platform team to build and maintain the best-in-class release infrastructure & processes that supports our mobile application built with React Native, ensuring our product squads can deliver and ship products to mobile devices at record speeds to our 4+ million users.

This role will be pivotal in managing our bi-weekly release schedule, documentation and communication of the upcoming feature changes to the wider business.

What You'll Do

  • Join a team of geographically distributed engineers who own the Mobile Platform to ship the most reliable mobile app in our industry.
  • Support and improve tools for manual and automated testing.
  • Continue to improve the release experience and tooling and relentlessly pursue and demonstrate best-in-class release management standards.
  • Own release timelines for the mobile guild and ensure alignment across key stakeholders and teams.
  • Own the creation and publication of the release notes, which includes the features, bug fixes and improvements to internal and external users as and when required.
  • Work alongside technical leadership and developers to anticipate upcoming releases.
  • Own our internal and external beta testing programs - promoting these and ensuring we squash bugs early.
  • Own the triaging of bugs in flowing to the mobile team and ensuring they never make it to production - but when they do you have the process ready to resolve.
  • Expect to be available from 2pm - 5.30pm UK time for meetings and collaborating with the team.

What You Should Have

  • 1-2 years of mobile release management experience, preferably with a React Native application.

Feel like you might be a better fit for a people manager role or a member of one of our squads? Check out our open opportunities or apply for this job and we'll talk you through all the opportunities we have available.
